Do You Know Your Neighbor? Exhibit

Do You Know Your Neighbor? Exhibit showcases the diversity of individuals living in Brown County.  While this exhibit was featured at the Neville Public Museum three years ago, it has been traveling throughout the county.  The exhibit will be featured at the Harmony Café the month of July, 2009.  An opening reception is scheduled for Wednesday, July 1, 2009 at the Harmony Café, located at 1660 West Mason Street from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.  Enjoy music and refreshments while viewing the exhibit.  There is no cost.

The Living Library

On  July 15, 2009 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. the shelves of the Harmony Café located at 1660 West Mason Street, Green Bay will be full of people.  A number of Brown County residents will be available to checkout for a conversation at the first Living Library in Brown County.  The Living Library idea is simple – a personal conversation to learn about others living in our county.

During this unique event, a group of volunteers serve as “living books” who are willing to share their personal story with a “reader.”  It is an opportunity to bring together people who have special interests, beliefs, or experiences in an environment to learn about others.  Books and readers have the opportunity to visit one-on-one.  Books can be checked out for 20 minutes.  There is no cost to attend this Living Library event.
