Upcoming Schedule of Circles
Topic: Immigration
Description: For many of us, immigration is not a distant national issue; it is part of our everyday lives. We need to decide together what to do about issues such as the effect of immigration on racial tensions, jobs, and schools; language differences; and prejudice against immigrants. Diversity Circles provide a process to help build the trusting relationships necessary for long-term change. Diversity Circles bring people from diverse backgrounds and experience together so they can develop trust, understand each other’s experiences, and find ways to work together.
Dates: The first four Wednesday in May (May 7, 14, 21, 28)
Time: 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Location: Norbertine Center for Spirituality, 1016 N Broadway, De Pere, WI
Topic: Racism
Dates: May 13, 20 & 27
Time: 11:00 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.
Location: Brown County UW-Extension, 1150 Bellevue Street, Green Bay
Topic: Poverty
Description: People in communities across America want to live in a place where they have the chance to thrive. This is true in all kinds of places – small towns, rural areas, urban neighborhoods, American Indian reservations, and others. We need to share our vision of what kind of community we want. We need to take action to change things so that we all can thrive. Diversity Circles help people build trusting relationships necessary for long-term change. People from diverse backgrounds and experiences develop trust, understand each other’s experiences, and work together on solutions.
Dates: September 4, 11, 18, 25
Start Time: 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
